[What was that noise? The little doll turns around -- slowly, since it can only walk slowly -- and looks at her. It's a person! A woman, too. It looks her over, trying to take in all the details.

[And then it rocks ever-so-slightly to one side.]

Hi~!

[It giggles -- or at least, the sound is similar to a giggle -- and bounces, flapping its wings slightly to keep its balance.]

Hihi!

[There's a lady in the town; it'll have to tell Master!]

[Sheik is back in the village again, lost in thoughts. Almost without thinking, he's made his way back up to the well - he pauses there, remembering the last time he was there.]

[He shakes his head briskly, and turns to leave. That's when he catches sight of the little... thing sitting on the well. Crossing the distance, he picks it up and frowns at it.]

[Mostly to himself-] What's this, then?

[Ooooh, a man looking at the well. It blinks, trying to remember the man well enough to describe it to Master later, but then it's being picked up.

[The man doesn't look happy. Is something wrong?]

I is Aifor.

[And then it talks.]

Wha-?!

[It's a good thing Sheik has fast reflexes, because he nearly dropped the thing in the well.]

Aifor? [His sense of curiosity has risen to the front, now. Very carefully, he sets the... thing back down on the well, kneeling to look at it closely.] What exactly are you, then? Or who?

Aaaaaaah! [And the wings are flapping wildly -- until it gets caught, anyway.]

[Aifor shifts back and forth on the stone until it gets comfortable again.] I is Master's servant. I watch town for him.

[It sounds proud of that.]

[On the way back from the well, Linksha notices something rather out of place: a plush toy! Actually, it's the FIRST plush toy he's seen since he got to this Hyrule, so he goes up to inspect it. It's a... bat? -ish? sort of thing. Since there's nobody around and no children that he knows of living in town, he wonders if this is another fun little bit of randomness, on the part of the Great Fairy.]

[He picks it up and examines it. Looks brand-new. No smudges. The stuffing's evenly distributed. He doubts any child's even held it, so far. The one big eye is disturbingly cute, actually. He smiles at it.]

[After a bit of thinking, Linksha decides to take it with him, as a gift for Sheiky -- the kid will enjoy it, he's sure. He starts walking towards the inn, plushie held firmly under one arm, bucket swinging from the other.]

[For a moment, the little doll is perfectly content to just ride along. It doesn't know the man, of course; it doesn't know anyone besides Master. But this means it doesn't have to fly, and this is kinda fun, too.

[No, make that really fun.]

[The noise startles Linksha, who stops and quickly spins, looking around. Nobody nearby. Huh. That's odd... Maybe it was an echo from somewhere? Hoping he's not just imagining things, Linksha takes a few hesitant steps, then sets his shoulders and proceeds toward the inn.]

Whee~! [it calls at the spin. But then the motion stops. And then starts, but it's slower. Aw, that's not nearly as fun.]

[Saria's finally taken a trip to Kakariko for the first time in a while. The skies are nice today, especially considering the recent weather, and it's put her in a good mood. She hums her song to herself softly, and her blue eyes are practically glittering. So when she spots the cloth doll resting on the stone wall, she approaches it with no absence of enthusiasm.]

Aww! What a cute little doll!

[Fairly strange-looking, but cute.]

[The doll blinks at her. She looks happy. She must be a nice person!]

Hi~! I not doll. I is Aifor.

[She's a little taken aback at first, but the Kokiri quickly recovers. After all, she's seen stranger things, hasn't she?]

[She's a little tempted to pick the doll up, but she doesn't know how it'd react, and thus refrains from doing so for now.]
