⊥ It's not a matter of luck / It's just a matter of time

[A certain Wind Sorcerer isn't in his windmill, and hasn't been for a while. Rather, Vaati has come to the conclusion that there're too many things that he doesn't understand, so for now, he has retreated into seclusion.

[The Kakariko graveyard is for the most part a lonely place, with only the worn gravestones and the blowing grass. But there are ( Read more... )

[There's someone here, someone he doesn't recognize. She's... putting flowers on the graves? And she's singing, as well. It's a pretty song, even though he doesn't know the words, but it sounds a little odd in a place like this. Still, there are much worse ways to break the silence.

[He walks to the other side of the gravestone, watching her. He isn't sure if he should say anything or not. Can she see him? He isn't sure. He supposes it doesn't matter if she can see him or not, really. She doesn't look dangerous. She looks... nice.

[And perhaps he can figure out why she's here if he watches some more.]

[She can see him! He tenses a little, though it's less from fear of her and more his natural reaction to something so big leaning in so close.

[Marin, hmm? He nods his head and takes a deep breath, forcing himself to speak Hylian even if the sounds are a little hard to make like this.]

Hello, Marin. I'm Vaati!

[He hopes she can hear him.]

[Vaati's not at his home, isn't at the inn, and hasn't left a note or told anyone where to find him. In dangerous times like these, that's cause for concern, so Linksha's been trying to play it calm while searching the village and mountain trail for signs of his little sorcerer. Perhaps he's become somewhat paranoid since the attacks began, as he knows how well Vaati can take care of himself and knows he shouldn't be worried, but there's still the nagging realization that even the strongest people can be caught off-guard or have an accident ( ... )

[Linksha.

[He should've expected the human to come looking for him, really. Yet it wasn't as if he could tell Linksha why he needed to be alone. How can he tell anyone that he's completely and totally confused? He can't just tell Linksha that he doesn't know what to do anymore. He feels almost like he's expected to be human, and he doesn't know if he wants that or not.

[He isn't human. He's Minish.

[Vaati slowly kneels down, carefully watching the human. He doesn't dare move much, but... no. He can't reveal his presence. Linksha will no doubt want either an explanation or for Vaati to go home.

[And neither of those is really an option right now. Not until he can make this make sense somehow.]

[Hmm. What if Vaati's up there? ... It's too high for Linksha to Jump, and he's got no way of getting the rope ladder to latch onto that fence... Only one option left, then.]

[He chants quickly under his breath, and a disorienting second later, he's in Fairy form. He's about to flit up there when his new size makes it possible for him to see something he'd missed earlier: a tiny purple figure trying to stealthily makes his way off the grave marker.]

"Vaati!" [Linksha flits over, wondering what Vaati's doing here, in his native (and much more vulnerable) form, and, strangest of all, seemingly trying to hide -- from HIM, no less! He hovers an arms-length away.]

[Magic. Wonderful. Vaati tries to take advantage of the distraction and get out of there, but the gravestone is huge to him and he's too tired to teleport.

[He freezes at the voice.]

Linksha. [He ducks down, hiding behind his high collar.]

What are you doing here?
