[A certain Wind Sorcerer isn't in his windmill, and hasn't been for a while. Rather, Vaati has come to the conclusion that there're too many things that he doesn't understand, so for now, he has retreated into seclusion.
[The Kakariko graveyard is for the most part a lonely place, with only the worn gravestones and the blowing grass. But there are

[He should've expected the human to come looking for him, really. Yet it wasn't as if he could tell Linksha why he needed to be alone. How can he tell anyone that he's completely and totally confused? He can't just tell Linksha that he doesn't know what to do anymore. He feels almost like he's expected to be human, and he doesn't know if he wants that or not.
[He isn't human. He's Minish.
[Vaati slowly kneels down, carefully watching the human. He doesn't dare move much, but... no. He can't reveal his presence. Linksha will no doubt want either an explanation or for Vaati to go home.
[And neither of those is really an option right now. Not until he can make this make sense somehow.]

[He chants quickly under his breath, and a disorienting second later, he's in Fairy form. He's about to flit up there when his new size makes it possible for him to see something he'd missed earlier: a tiny purple figure trying to stealthily makes his way off the grave marker.]
"Vaati!" [Linksha flits over, wondering what Vaati's doing here, in his native (and much more vulnerable) form, and, strangest of all, seemingly trying to hide -- from HIM, no less! He hovers an arms-length away.]

[He freezes at the voice.]
Linksha. [He ducks down, hiding behind his high collar.]
What are you doing here?
Reply
"Um... you didn't leave a note. I was -- " ['Hmm. Can't tell him I was worried, or Vaati's pride will kick in.'] "I wondered what you were up to."
['The heck's going on, here? Why's he avoiding me?']

I didn't want you to worry about me, so I just left.

[He has no idea what's going on, but Vaati's uncomfortable, that much is obvious.] "Look, if you don't wanna talk, I won't press you. I just wanted to see you; to know you were alright"
[He wants to comfort Vaati, but his mage is a tricky one to approach at the best of times, so he settles for flying to the stone marker and standing on it, then leaning down and kissing Vaati's cheek. He turns around and prepares to take flight so he can transform back.] "Careful of those cuckoo things -- there was one at the trail leading here. I don't know what I'd do if you ended up as bird-food -- probably start up a rotisserie chicken joint and hunt them all down." [He tries for a cheeky grin.]

Maybe I should have said something. I don't know. I'm fine. I'm staying out here for now.
[He sighs a little at the kiss. This is one of the things he needs to make sense of.]
I still have my magic, Linksha. I might be small, but I'm nowhere near as defenseless as I once was. [He's proud of that simple fact, too.]

[He shakes his head. This is nagging at him now.]
You came here looking for me?
Reply
[He nods and shifts so he's not risking a crick in his neck just to talk.] "It was lunchtime. I went by the windmill to ask if you wanted to join me -- we managed to make a decent loaf of bread to go with the soup."
Reply
[He closes his eyes again.] Then shouldn't you hurry back? The others might be worrying about you.
[Besides, there's no reason for Linksha to be here. No reason at all.]

So... I'm worth seeking out, am I?
Now you know where I am. As much as I like it, my windmill isn't private enough for what I need now.

"Come back when you're ready... But, Vaati? Next time you want privacy, you CAN tell me and I'll respect it. Nothing wrong with needing space and quiet."

[He sighs.] After all, strong people know who they are.
