Magic and Backlash [*Curse Post*]
[It's a childish idea, he admits, but it should certainly get under Chubbydorf's skin, and that's all Vaati cares about. He can already imagine the look on Ganon's face when he realizes that all of his clothing is gone, replaced by the frilliest dresses Vaati dared touch.
[The set-up for the spell is simple -- this is a simple teleport, after all, and when dealing with inanimate objects, he doesn't need the precision he otherwise would. He stands there in the open part of his room in the windmill and starts chanting. It doesn't take him long at all to encounter a problem: Ganon has his home warded; it pulses out at his magic, angry and resisting. Vaati expected this, however, and the fingers of one hand are already flexing and turning, tracing the arcane shapes of a counterspell in the air. He'll neutralize what he can and punch through the rest. It's just a ward, after all.
[An unusually strong ward. Hmm. Perhaps he underestimated Ganon's magical skill. Or perhaps Ganon got lucky and tapped into some pre-existing magic. No matter. He summons up an extra blast of energy and directs it at the ward -- if he can't counter it, he'll burn it out! He punches a fist forward, lashing out with a powerful strike meant to shatter the ward --
[-- and there's a violent explosion of magic as his strike hits the ward and ricochets. Vaati has just enough time to realize that somehow, his spell has gone wrong before everything vanishes in a wave of magic. The ensuing wave of magic washes out across Hyrule from both his windmill and Hyrule Castle, and this wave of magic has reprecussions.
[Suddenly, random people find themselves targetted by a bizarre teleport spell, and all of their gear and clothing vanish to be replaced by someone else's. Vaati isn't immune to the effect either, as he most certainly is not wearing the clothes he started the spell in...]
