OOC: Curses Anyone?
And now for something completely different. Also, thanks, mods, for letting me do this. <3
This is nothing more than a silly little idea, mainly brought on by the fact that hey, Vaati hurls curses sometimes. Therefore, Vaati is going to curse the DR. Well, the people who want to be anyway. This is completely and totally opt-in, so if you don't say in the comments here that you want your character to get hit with it, the magic will just float right on by.
What kind of curse, you ask? This curse is going to swap clothing and equipment between characters. This means that when the curse goes off, your character's clothing [hat, shirts, pants, belts, gloves/gauntlets, armor, boots, etc.] and all carried equipment [weapons, pouches, what have you] will be switched with another character. Who you swap with will be determined randomly and listed on the actual curse post.
The curse will magically resize clothing/gear so that it fits the new wearer the same way it fit the old. This also applies to gear -- belts will hang the same, etc. This does not grant the ability to use things your character can't use, so if you don't know how to use a bow [for example], having one appear across your back won't do you much good. Also, while your character will be able to remove the new clothing/gear, as soon as they let go of it or try to put anything else on, the swapped equipment will poof back onto their body.
Since not everyone wears clothes, if a normally-clothed character swaps clothes with a character who, er, isn't clothed, the unlucky character gets a nice, large, fluffy complimentary towel to cover up with. This towel is, obviously, magical, and it won't fall off while the character is walking.
The curse will last one real life week from the curse post, so roughly Saturday - Saturday. Threads started before the curse post goes up will not be affected, but any thread started during that week will for the characters affected.
Again, this is completely and totally opt-in, so if you like the idea and want your characters to end up in someone else's clothing for no readily apparent reason, sign up here. :3 I plan to start rolling the random swaps Friday night, but the curse post won't go up until Saturday [or maybe Sunday, depending on my work schedule for next week].
Addition: If possible, please reply to your comment with an image of your character or a good description of what your character wears, so whoever ends up in your character's clothing will know what they just got stuck in.
