It's not a precisely sunny day; there is sunlight but it's wrestling to make its way through various cloud patterns. [He's on his way to Castletown to steal acquire a few more supplies, deciding to walk for once. Dark just lets his thoughts wander, because really, he doesn't have anything he needs to think about, and during the day the field's plenty safe. Which is why he almost steps on a strange bright spot on the grass before he realizes that he sees it.]

Well, isn't this an unusual sight? Some monster dump you here?

[Zelda sits up in some surprise, though she smiles at the newcomer.]

No, of course not. [She tilts her head to one side, studying him; she has seen this gentleman before, but never had occasion to speak to him.] I was just passing the afternoon by watching the clouds. I haven't done that in forever. What brings you out here?

Could've fooled me. I didn't think princesses liked to touch dirty things. [He flops down beside her.]

Me? Just on my way to get a few things I need. That, and I felt like walking around a bit. I can't let myself get too lazy.

Oh, as to that... [Zelda laughs musically.] If any of the colored Links were around, they could tell you that I've always been maybe just a little bit of a tomboy. Getting dirty never bothered me too much -- although my nurses didn't like it when I did!

[She nods.] Exercise is good for the body and also the soul. It doesn't do to become too idle, especially in this strange place.

*It was a day Shadow Link might be tempted to call good. Little sunlight, so it was more bearable to move during the day and finding he couldn't find a place comfortable to sleep, he decided to wander. Of course he usually stuck near the trees, but when there seemed little breaks in the clouds, he decided to venture across the field. At least it took sunlight a long while to do serious damage even if there was a sudden clearing. He could get to cover again if he needed.

Of course, he didn't expect to spot someone during his sort of risky journey across the field. But he did.*
