[Harper's absence has been long. Not so long that he has been forgotten -- that would never happen -- but long enough that the Princess who has grieved his disappearance has begun to heal. Little by little, day by day. Her steps are still slow, but not as slow as they once were, and she holds her head a little higher.
Jewel knows, in the way that only a daughter of Nayru really can, that something is on the wind today. What it is, however, she isn't certain. She walks through the village, but all seems usual. As she nears the steps which lead down to the field, she pauses. That almost sounds like someone saying her name. She approaches slowly, cautiously. There is...a Sheikah, in the field.
[Harper turns at the sound of her voice, the pure joy in his eyes enough of a sign to indicate a smile even if the ever-present scarf around his face blocks his mouth from view.
He runs toward her, the lost horse and the fight forgotten, and opens his arms wide for the woman who'd so neatly bandaged his heart and stolen it from under him.]
[Weeks of torment are at an abrupt end, and without really being conscious of her own actions, Jewel runs to meet him, flinging her arms around his neck.]
Harper...my Harper...you've come back to me.
[It is a moment or two before she realizes she is weeping.]
[Harper brushes his hands over her cheeks, wiping away the tears that track down her pale face. It's his fault those tears are there and he feels his heart twist a little.
