For those involved with customer service . . .

I thought ya'll might enjoy this article. I know it's for retail people, but I figure it could also double for Librarians, as well. I certainly remember running into almost everyone but the dog owners (because they knew better) on this particular list. retail, customer service gripes, general fun, fun stuff

Amazing how universal some customers are, isn't it?

I thankfully don't encounter most of these, but the dog one is really frustrating. Most dog owners know better than to take their dog into a bakery, but some people who have the small dogs think it's perfectly fine to walk in with the dog in their arms. One got so offended when we told her she couldn't have her dog inside... Thankfully most understand the reasons why (the Health Department is ANAL). I always found it funny that pets aren't allowed in most establishments, but if it's a working pet (seeing eye dog, etc.), suddenly it's perfectly okay. I hate enforcing the rule though since I personally love animals. :(

I know. The working animals don't bother me because I know why they're there, but when I was in the library they DID have to either have the jacket on that says "Working dog" or the harness.

Personally, I'd rather have one of the larger dogs come inside than the smaller, yappy ones. Don't like th esmall yappy ones.

A while back there's a restaurant version of this article in yahoo, "what your waiters/waitresses are really thinking." I didn't save the link, sadly.
I'll keep this one in mind when I go shopping, though I usually don't talk much except when I'm asking about the products. ^^
