[After
getting some outdated directions from Sokka, Blackbeard arrives at House 46. He believes that the Straw Hat Pirates are here, but its current occupant might not enjoy being shouted at for no apparent reason.]
OI!!! STRAW HAT!!! GET OUT HERE! An' fight me one-on-one! Don't have yer buddies come an' save yer ass when I beat ya fair an'

[And here comes a green laser to form a vice around the pirate.]

[His usual strategy of "talking the opponents into a false sense of security" fails, as the laser binds his arms to his sides. He struggles to get out, and given that he basically has super-strength, he's under the impression that it shouldn't take long.]
What'd ya do to me?
((OoC: I don't know much about DC superheroes, least of all Green Lantern. I know his powers involve making objects that are made of green energy using his ring, but what else is there to it?))

Put you in a vice. Now I'm going to set you down somewhere you can't cause any trouble.
[Pretty much that's it. But that single power can pretty much do everything and make anything.]

See, I can't let ya do that! I ain't gonna let some bald glowin' policeman, who's not even a Marine, arrest me! [Blackbeard strains harder against the bonds.]
I'm gonna be the Pirate King! An' there ain't anything... [Thick dark smoke rises from Blackbeard's back, as an inky black substance, originating from Blackbeard himself, spreads along the ground to the base of some of the nearby trees.] ...that's gonna stop me! Black Hole! [At his statement, the black substance begins to pull the trees into itself, the trees bending and breaking as they sink downwards. He delibrately avoids targetting the house or John himself, though; best to give a demonstration of what he can do, and give this policeman a chance to surrender after seeing it.]

[Blackbeard's sudden development of a new power is a little surprising. He forms a protective bubble around himself a s a precaution. Restraining Blackbeard is going to need more than a vice, so he breaks his hold on him. Instead the bubble itself forms multiple tentacle spikes to grab hold of the sinking trees and pull them back. He's not the only one willing to demonstrate what he's capable of.]

[Seeing the man in green shift his focus to stopping Blackbeard's attack, he grins. The trees stop sinking as Blackbeard shifts his focus to John himself. Shield or no shield, he's going to attack. He aims his arm at John, as a black vortex forms on the palm of his hand.] Kurozu! [The vortex begins to pull John towards Blackbeard, as Blackbeard stomps closer to try to get into melee range and punch at the shield.]

[He immediately releases the trees and pulls away from the vortex. It takes some effort, but after a few futile attempts to simply back up on his own strength, he gives way to trusting the ring's power and levitates away. The draw is still strong, but he manages to pull away. Now it was time to go on the offensive. With his shield dispersed, his ring fires a solid ball construct to deliver a punch in the pirate's direction.]

Oi! Baldy! Is that ring on yer finger the thing that's doin' all that? Like makin' the fist, an' the bubble, an' all that other glowin' stuff?

It takes a lot more than a fancy ring for 'glowing stuff'. [Which is the truth, for the most part. It's a combination of the Light of Oa and his own willpower. The ring is just a conduit for it.]

So instead John retaliates by flying higher and holding his ring above him. It shifts shape into a massive mallet. He then brings it slamming down hard.]
