I hadn't been shooting much of late, as I hardly get the time.  I can't even find some time over the weekends these days.  Just before my vacation, I had been to a place called Kasba Peth, where a flea market assembles on Sundays.  I was looking about to get some shots of people drinking tea, so I positioned myself at a tea stall and was happy as ( Read more... )

I enjoy ur posts better than people posting pics of pretty models/celebs.. all made up and perfect. Ur pics are more pragmatic and lively. I totally believe that ur imperfection are what makes u unique.

Ok this didn’t come the way I wanted to.. I love reality and there is nothing I find imperfect in the world or defective for that case. Everybody is unique that’s what my comment intended. Arranging words can be really tricky!! For the record I love everything and everybody.. OMG I cant believe I almost sounded condescending there..

So my final inference is, I present people who might be imperfect, in good light :-). Thanks!

Don't worry vjlivejournal September 15 2005, 13:15:56 UTC
don't worry at all....the old cameras will never ditch you. Personal experience. The local tribal market shots that i took...u'd not believe..all were shot with a rickety Olympus with a wide angle lens(to add to the problem) and that too the lens had some fungus one one corner...but you have seen the results...just chillax

Yeah I had seen those results and you had told me about the fungus bit on the Olympus. Thanks!

You are one of the finest street photographers around. Your use of black and white adds to your style. Thank you for sharing.
P.S: When you are in Bangalore next, get in touch. I have an old yashica rangefinder that you can borrow for your street portrait sessions. Amazing camera with a whisper quiet shutter and a great lens.

Thanks Sriram! Those are one of the best words ever said to me. Thanks for the proposal, I was planning to buy a Yashica G Rangefinder myself. And I will definitely get in touch with you.
