What he sells changes with the season. Melons are not in year-round supply.

What I found surprising is that someone could live with so little apparent change for such long periods of time. The merchandise can't affect it greatly, or can it?

Having trouble taking off the eyes from this image. Every man is a legend, I've heard somewhere. Wonder what kind of legend this one would be.

Thanks for saying so! I think merchandise can affect state of a person, because, considering this man, I wouldn't say he has much of a business except for the sale during the season. The rest of the time, he is probably earning elsewhere. What brings him back to monotnously continue without change is maybe the returns of the business on that street in that season.
