it's like dropping a football. You know when you let go of it, it will fall. Gravity will pull it down til it strikes a surface and rolls away. but the way in which the football will fall....in other words, the way it will go about doing it...the direction it will roll...that is different every time you drop it.
God has a plan, and we are apart of that plan in our OWN way
besides. not everyone does God's will.

-well if God knows the ball is going to drop, is there anyhitng the ball can do about it to stop itself from falling????
-god knows our every move before we do it (according to christianity right)
-so if he knows what we are going to do.... then it is predetermined that what he saw is going to happen..... (if this is not true then u are saying God is not omnicient)
-there is no way around what god saw for us in the future (he even knows what bad people are going to do)
-if there is no way around the path god has been chosen for us, then we cannot change our path, we cannot change our actions, we have no choice in chosing which we do and dont do, and without choice there is no free will
thanks...... and we talked about this more on AIM so..... yeah..... more comments please

-ish yes
-as I said, this is somewhat contradictory...some people do things that are not god's will
-Perhaps God WANTS us to follow certain paths...again, if he gave us free will, there would have to be times when he says "i wish he wouldnt do that..."
-He knows what he wants us to do, and he knows what we WILL do...perhaps thats why there is no need for him to be showing his face every three seconds.
as far as the biblical/historical definition of free will, the alternative was having us do nothing but worship him every moment of every passing day...all of one like mind, or perhaps no mind at all...just a band of creatures praising our creator. What we have is certainly free will if you compare it to that...
Again, i have my own opinions, but as to particulars of this belief system, read the bible....particularly genesis. I think perhaps that will clear some stuff up.

But yeah, what Chris said basically sums up everything I wanted to say. >.>

contradictions mean that one of them has to be wrong....
u could say 'yes god is all-knowing, and we have free will' 'but this requires that u have faith in god, which is impossible to comprehend' (u could say somehting like that right?)
now why would anyone have faith in something with contradictions.... faith.... is that the definition of faith?
that kind of faith is beyond me.......
