Signs of spring in the trees

Cinnamon was making quite a fuss this evening, baying like the beagle his grandparents were.  I figured it would just be a car, or a rabbit, or a squirrel, or..the wind.  But no, I looked outside and saw a large furry animal swaying in the branches of a spindly boxelder tree.  At the bottom of that tree was Cinnamon, barking like he had cornered a ( Read more... )

How nice for Cinnamon to add some excitement to his day. He probably got the racoon's heart thumping too.

The funniest part is that when you told Emilia that you were going outside to see if Cinnamon had trapped a raccoon, she talked about it for 20 minutes, and gradually the story morphed from Cinnamon woofing at a raccoon to Daddy going to find a baby giraffe and bringing it inside to be her pet.

Yes. I watched that debate and that line was a beauty! Jeb Bush was the other debater and his facial reaction was memorable (surprised, confused)! Walkin' Lawton had some very colorful and expressive speech. I liked him. He was very popular. He died much too young. A loss to Florida.
