I Can't do both those Saturdays casue of Hockey. And I will be away from the 13-22 of August in New Zealand. If it ends up being on a day that I can go I would love to come help!

The 22nd is scrutineering for the Descent, and if the river is up by the 21st (and by god I hope it is...) I would have to bail on you in favour of a chance to get in a valley run.

Anything after the Descent (4th/5th) you can guarantee having my lifting-heavy-things presence. :)

...we keep telling you we want to, but do you believe us? :)

but after today's rain I'm pretty sure July is feasible.

It's certainly looking a lot more promising. I'm not sure if you've seen this site - Elders' 28-day forecast for your region.

Heavy lifters are always welcome!

I hadn't seen that site.

My place is looking better now than at this time last year, but is still much less green/wet than in 2004 and 2005.

Funnily enough, there seems to be a direct correlation between how green your place is and how happy all the paddlers are. :)

I want to plant trees!

By the time I save up enough money to go to Australia, all your trees will be mature. :P

I'll probably plant trees every year for the foreseeable future, so any time from now to about 2035 would be fine for your trip!

not the 11th and 12th of August, as I will be in Sydney pitching a novel called Llama's Rest once I've written enough of it to pretend it's finished.
