Instead of being dusty and bone-dry, my place now has rolling green hills with a flowing creek.  It's really pretty!

Non-locals:  Fine, whatever.
Locals:  Uh-oh.  ::start to look shifty::

Exhibit TwoSome of the tiny little trees I planted last July are now ten feet tall!  Amazing!  The miracle of life ( Read more... )

I'm sure there will be plenty of other things to do in August, if you want to come out after you get back. I think you've done your fair share of tree planting in any case. I'm sorry we won't have the benefit of your expert advice, though. I really only have a vague idea of what I'm doing out here! :)

And yes, see you on the 26th at Wobo's.

The 10th is the fallback position, not that I'm expecting anybody to keep two dates free.

Let me know when you know about the ballooning. I'm usually away from here quite a bit in the first week of the month, but we might get lucky.

We're booked to go on the morning of July 6 (a Wednesday). We have to wait for the weather forecast closer to the date to see if it's going ahead.

Plan to go to Wobo's on the 26th, so either of the other two suits us atm. Bags the one with the catering.

The 3rd it is, weather permitting. Can you ask J if she's interested?

The caterer is making plans and is excited about finally meeting my friends (I feel 10 years old)!

Tree planting is much easier than last year's tree removal/repositioning. As I said to Emma, you could do it with a fork.

If you want hard, we can do hard. I just don't want to put people off. There are exciting tasks of all kinds out here...
