I was too hard on these books when I read Dragon Keeper and Dragon Haven in 2010.

I wasn't wrong when I said they were repetitive, which I think is partly a function of the multiple points of view. Except perhaps for the many reminders in the Tawny Man trilogy that ( spoiler for Assassin's Quest )

So should I add them to my reading list? Just to satisfy the completist in me?

It's a glancing Fool reference only, I'm afraid - don't get your hopes up!

I'd suggest reading them. They don't take much time compared to the others, since not only are they shorter but they lend themselves to skimming over certain sections! The first one is probably the most tedious, so rest assured that things pick up a bit from there.

There was a stretch somewhere in Dragon Haven or City of Dragons where I was really, really interested in everything that was going on and couldn't wait to turn each page - but nothing like the emotional highs of the Fitz/Fool parts of AQ and Tawny Man!
