I was
too hard on these books when I read Dragon Keeper and Dragon Haven in 2010.
I wasn't wrong when I said they were repetitive, which I think is partly a function of the multiple points of view. Except perhaps for the many reminders in the Tawny Man trilogy that (
spoiler for Assassin's Quest )

So should I add them to my reading list? Just to satisfy the completist in me?

I'd suggest reading them. They don't take much time compared to the others, since not only are they shorter but they lend themselves to skimming over certain sections! The first one is probably the most tedious, so rest assured that things pick up a bit from there.
