Yes indeedy. I'll build up to words tomorrow! I was expecting to be disappointed and instead got an almost fairy tale ending.

I can only hope that I'm this satisfied with the eventual SPN ending! Before today I would have said a pleasing-to-me ending was far more likely to come from SPN than House, but this show came through in a big way! (Even if I never got my hug.)

I loved it! It was both really sad and really sweet and oh so very House (both the character & the show we have seen over the past 8 years). Now that is a series ending for Spn that i could live with.

I was braced for disappointment and can hardly believe we got that ending. It's truly a great love story!

This post is a bit of a breach of fannish etiquette, but I figured with a 12 hour delay, a default icon and no tag it might be marginally acceptable!

It was a glorious due South-style ending, if you disregard the fact that Wilson has only 5 months to live.

Hee, well, considering that in one of my current fandoms (the one for which I just wrote a nearly 20Kword story) both members of my OTP die less than halfway through canon, that counts as happy to me.

I actually have quite a list of quibbles about the timeline of the episode, the logistics of what happened and whether House's decision to sacrifice his future for Wilson was a "real" one or a spur-of-the-moment thing he might regret, but all that pales before the glory of the ending.

It is a fine, fine day to be a House/Wilson fan.

I'll try to verbalise and illustrate tomorrow. It didn't have as many House/Wilson scenes as the last three episodes, but the final two scenes were very lovely!

Will definitely bring my hard drive on Sunday. The final arc starts from the end of 8x18.
