Buys a ticket to at least check out Special Hell

I'm not very keen on graphic violence, so was never interested in trying Supernatural, especially since the main pairing involved incest. Until very recently I didn't even know which one was Dean and which one Sam, and was happy to give it a wide berth.

Then sarren pointed out that if I just ignore all the things I don't like, what's left is exactly the ( Read more... )

He has awesome hair in season 6. Also he pumps iron shirtless and sweaty and sexxes a lot of women.

Special Hell is looking pretty good.

Yeah. I've started drinking the cool-aide, too.

What I've learned from this is that I ignore major fandoms at my peril! That many people probably aren't wrong.

*loves you a lot!*

This post made me stupidly happy. Except for the part where you started in S3, of course.

Don't worry, I'm going to my friend's tomorrow night to get S1!

I looked at your LJ earlier today to see when it went downhill for you and it sounds like even if that happens for me too, I have plenty to look forward to first!

My brain broke pretty much at the beginning of S4 - it just took me a long time to admit it. The final straw was 5x04. But I think it's one of those things where, if I watched S4-6 now, instead of one week at a time not knowing what was coming, it would have been a lot easier to deal with the stuff that pissed me off, and a lot less disappointing.

Anyway, apparently I got sucked back in in S6. Still not quite sure how that happened.

I blame Saaaaaam. :D

Hee, welcome!

(I started out as a Sam!girl, and resented the idea of Dean/Castiel until several episodes in, and now, well, I love them all.) It is possible!

Thank you and I'm glad to hear it! I'm normally a one-pairing-per-show type, but I want to cash in on my friend sarren's Dean/Castiel obsession if possible!

SPN is one of the few shows that I multi-ship for (like you, I'm usually one pairing per show). But for this show, I can see Sam/Dean, Dean/Cas, and then there's the whole RPF side too....

*cough* There's some excellent Sam/Gabriel fics out there too.

...I'm just sayin'.

I turned Supernatural off in the middle of the first horrifying episode, which was, uh, the first episode. Sounds like you did the smart thing and let fangirls show you the way. :) I always did think that Castiel guy is pretty damned good-looking . . .
