Buys a ticket to at least check out Special Hell
I'm not very keen on graphic violence, so was never interested in trying Supernatural, especially since the main pairing involved incest. Until very recently I didn't even know which one was Dean and which one Sam, and was happy to give it a wide berth.
Then sarren pointed out that if I just ignore all the things I don't like, what's left is exactly the sort of thing I do like. This seemed a very well reasoned argument and conveniently there was a slash gathering the next day. After some discussion it was agreed that the best pimping episode was a S3 Groundhog Day episode rather than S4, where sarren's pairing of choice Dean/Castiel begins. Ten minutes in I was really enjoying it and by halfway through I was mostly sold, except I was pretty sure my favourite character was going to be Sam, thus presenting the Special Hell dilemma. I'm told that this won't prevent me from properly appreciating Dean and Castiel when the time comes.
After the gathering I stayed up until 1am watching YouTube highlights. Special Hell is looking pretty good.
