Work at New Job has dried up due to the lack of success of their main project. They may still want me to do bits here and there, but October to January is the quietest time of the year in my field, so there probably won't be much for a while ( Read more... )

Congratulations and/or commiserations however this works out for you. The last time I got downsized (actually, the time before that, oops) it was the best thing that ever happened.

Will this make you a bit easier to visit, in the sense of more possible times at home? I have not abandoned the dream of visiting your property one day :-)

Probably. You've missed the best time for this year, since it's already turning brown and the flies are starting to come out in force. July to September is the scenic time. Drop me a note if you have a particular day in mind since my hoof trimming schedule varies from week to week.
