I'm alive. Yes, at certain points during the swim I really thought about a. giving up b. giving up and c. that I might drown. A bit dramatic but it really was tough. Let me start by saying that 6 weeks with one week minus cos I had the flu, of training for the Sprint wasn't the brightest plan.

Congratulations!!!!!

After reading your entry, I feel like I'm huffing and puffing along (while eating a sucky lunch at my desk)!!!

I have alot of respect for tri-folks like you and a few of them on LJ ... it's as much a mental as it is a physical challenge!! I don't know how you do it... with work, home, social life, Stomper....

I'm such a wimp... Although I can run, cycle and maybe like "not sink in the sea", I don't think I can put all 3 together..

Rest well, drink lots of isotonic drinks to replenish all the fluids you lost!

I had a yucky lunch at my desk too.

I tell you I've have had so much fluids to drink in a day as I did within the 2 hours after the race. Hahaha. Feeling totally fine now, just that my left knee hurts a wee bit.

well i can safely say that i know how you feel. both on the fact that "the ground really looks good after the swim" and the also on the "cheer leader" part.
having that one person cheering you on is really the biggest encouragement.
