Thank you. I trying to make Pike have the confidence publically while McCoy has the confidence in the bedroom, and they can each help the other live a better balanced life.

This fic totally made me happy! Pike outing them (and HOW!), McCoy being all nervous-shy at the party but then brazenly blowing Pike in the corner, Jim shamelessly hitting on the admiral -- love it!

Oh, my God, Jim hitting on Turnbull was amazing. And Gaila and the tentacle ambassador! :-D

Sometimes a girl has needs! (Although I doubt that Victoria will consider herself in need of Jim, whatever he might think!) I'm really glad that those two little details got love. Thank you!

Yes, but what exactly are these needs that only tentacles can fill?! I'm just wondering.

Wondering purely in the interests of science, of course!

This was absolutely wonderful. I loved the description of the party "pads" and the way they set it firmly in the future. You also gave us a nice sense of what Chris is risking with Leonard and what he is jettisoning, as well.
Their happiness together is poignant, given what we know will be coming up during the time of the movie. Can't wait to see what else you come up with in this series!

My "pads" got love! :-)
You also gave us a nice sense of what Chris is risking with Leonard and what he is jettisoning, as well. I'm glad that came across.
And yes, the happiness is overshadowed. There will never be a mission with Jim and Leonard serving with Pike. (Such a shame, that.) Things are going to get angsty in the next story.
