Not that long ago I was googling around trying to find some information on the best way to take shots of lightning with my Canon A720 IS. Successfully capturing lightning is, challenging.

If you're using one older than 8.04, you may be able to get the version you want by enabling the 8.04 repositories.
And if you're using 8.04, try enabling the experimental and testing repositories.
