Anyway I kept mentioning doing a sketchpost and I might as well do it now. Not a lot of stuff in this one, but that's mostly cause I hit a massive idea that'll take me a while to get through, so I thought I might as well post these for now. And I think you guys mentioned you didn't mind smaller posts anyway SO THERE'S THAT TOO
I don't think there's any violence or anything objectionable in here this time. :O
The response on dev to this one was kind of interesting, haha. Beforehand most people seemed to have a lot of sympathy for Jockey and her craziness, but when they found out that her loopiness actually hurt her teammates at times, they began drawing lines a bit more clearly. I WOULDN'T LET HER GET AWAY WITH THAT IF I WAS ON HER TEAM >:(

I need to redo my gun references for this sketchbook, that reminds me. Such a pain in the buttt
ANYWAY at some point I forget why now, but I got to thinking about their exes. They both had relationships before they hooked up with each other and all and they aren't virgins or anything, but I never really put a lot of thought into who those people were aside from brief mentions here and there. SO I got wondering about it. I don't think Hunter had that many relationships and the reasons they eventually broke up probably varied from person to person (although the image of Hunter with a World is Mine esque girlfriend is kind of hilarious to me). Smoker though, all of her ex-boyfriends would have broken up with her for pretty much the same reason.
Haha I used this Juan-lookin guy for that other thing I did to Won't Say I'm in Love, and decided eh why not, I could bring him back for this. I couldn't think of any other name for him but Juan though. DURR.

But as mentioned, most of Smoker's ex-boyfriends would have the same complaint: she was cold, emotionally distant, and aloof. She'd never talk about her feelings, she'd never tell them that she cared, she wouldn't remember anniversaries or anything, she wouldn't get them random gifts or anything, she wouldn't talk to them about her interests or what she liked or anything like that. If they opened up to her, she'd just seem disinterested. When they were gone, she'd never seem to care. She never seemed to need them or want them, and that would eventually put them off.
Like Juan here! I don't necessarily think Juan is a bad guy, I just think that he and Smoker were just not compatible. He was probably initially drawn to her because of her independence, and probably a desire to save her or fix her to some degree, but eventually he got tired of being shut out by her and gave up. He probably did genuinely care about her and want her to be better and get out more and such for her own good, but also had an idea of who she should be in his mind that she didn't want to be, and probably had a bit of a controlling streak and got frustrated when she refused to do anything to "fix" herself. CONFLICT!
In that last picture she's wearing more revealing clothing than she would normally and also make up, tho that's not obvious. Juan's idea, mostly. As much as she doesn't want to care about what anyone thinks, it still hurts to have someone just yell at you about how terrible you are in so many words, thus why she looks less than happy for bits of this.
Also the stereotype tends to go that men aren't in touch with their feelings and women want to talk about them all the time, and it amused me that Smoker would easily invert that. SHE JUST WANTS TO WATCH THE GAME, WHY DO YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT ALL THIS EMOTION GARBAGE >:| SO SHE FORGOT AN ANNIVERSARY, SO WHAT
He probably approached her first, asked her out first, and she just shrugged and went along with it and sort of fell into a relationship. I don't think Smoker was really ever that invested in any of her romantic relationships and probably actively tried not to be, which amusingly helped them end all the faster. IT ALL WORKS OUT
and then Hunter came and screwed it all up, haha. tried not to care when Hunter vanished just like she didn't care about anyone else when they left for a while, and for some reason it doesn't work why doesn't it worrrrk
Juan would probably be a good boyfriend to someone different, but he and Smoker just did not work.
Smoker's aware that she makes mistakes and often plays a part in ending her relationships, but generally tries not to dwell on the past and just keeps moving on. WELL IT HAPPENED, WHAT CAN YOU DO. :|
Hunter wants Smoker to tell her that Juan was completely wrong and that Smoker had no part in it, and gets frustrated by the fact that Smoker refuses to do that. It makes her a little worried about their relationship itself, although she doesn't say that. Hunter always gets a bit tweaked when people hassle Smoker in front of her, and reading about the breakup did just that. That tendency actually dates way back with them, where Smoker shrugs off insults and Hunter gets all keyed up over them. AND IT COMES BACK YET AGAIN
Hunter wants her to agree with her but Smoker doesn't care that much about the past. It was not the best break up in the world, as you can guess, haha. Smoker just tries not to think about this kind of stuff, thus why she's annoyed that Hunter's bringing it all up. They did fight quite a bit but I don't think it was a terrible relationship all the way through though. It just eventually fell apart.
One of the things that weirds Hunter out is that Juan doesn't mention any of the things that she knows Smoker likes or enjoys doing, like her musicals or her cooking or her cards or anything. That's mostly because Smoker never told him about her interests or anything and kept them all to herself, probably in part because she didn't want to share them with him and have them ruined when the relationship would (inevitably) fall apart. Also the musicals thing is kind of embarrassing. FOR ALL HIS TALK OF LOVING HER, DID JUAN REALLY KNOW HER AT ALL? HMMMM
Oh also, the make up Smoker mentions showed up in this fic way back when, haha. Another way she knew that Juan thought she was ugly.

Hunter is indeed upset that people called her names, as I assume most people would be if they found their friend being trashed somewhere. She is kind of protective. Smoker thinks she's being a doofus though, as usual. WHO CARES WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK ANYWAY :|

There are so many Hunter and Smoker OCs out there that are totally sentient, like they can talk and reason and play cards and have terrible cliched sex and it's like they're just people with superpowers. In contrast, Hunter and Smoker as zombies aren't sentient at all and can't speak or anything. The idea of them meeting a sentient set of zombies just sort of amused me, haha. RARR RAWRRR >:E
The thing about most Hunter OCs is that they're usually only differentiated from each other by their color and sometimes their tape patterns, so I wasn't sure how to fancy up the other Hunter here aside from wings and a tail. :B The Smoker was easier though. People love piercing their Smoker OCs.

GODTIER poking at the Homestuck versions again. Someone suggested Charger's horns curling back and then in front of her face again sort of like tusks here. I'm not sure why she's wearing a scarf though. OKAY SELF??
I think I have an idea of what her symbol might be, but I have no idea how the others would go. Me and a bunch of people were throwing around ideas in the comments section of the last sketchpost which again will probably be super boring if you don't care about Homestuck so feel free to move on if that's the case, haha.
Charger would be the Keeper of Space, thus the one in charge of frog breeding since that seemed totally appropriate and she does like frogs. :> Also the one with the forge, wherever she lives. Not entirely sure what her land would be, although Moro suggested the Land of Vines and Frogs. I know the last part has to be Frogs though.
Hunter would be the Rogue of Time, I think it was, since the idea of her screwing around with timelines is kind of hilarious, haha. Moro thinks she and Jockey would probably reach godtier, much to the horror of Smoker who would NOT approve of her dying on a quest bed for whatever reason. Her land is a bit less clear to me... I was thinking something like the Land of Dark and Buildings or something, for her Parkour and also for her blindness as a zombie (and navigating in the dark would be challenging), but there should probably be some kind of element tying her to Time as well. HMMMM.
Smoker would be the Heir of Rage, I think, since she does hold a lot of anger deep inside. Although she could also be a [thing] of Breath, related to her smoking maybe? Moro suggested the Land of Ash and Mist.
Jockey would be the Seer of Doom, I think. :B I imagine that role would be sort of like the Seer of Mind or whatever in that she could see the various results for all their decisions and such, the alternate realities and what have you, but the Doom part would mean that she'd be able to see all the different ways that her friends would die. So her vision of the future and what decisions have to be made would be based off of constant visions of her friends dying as a result of some thing or another, which would be a way to explain why she's so loopy in this particular AU AND also be an interesting inversion of her normal state where she pretends everyone who's dead is alive. Instead, she sees everyone alive as dead. I DUNNO I JUST LIKE THE IDEA
Moro suggested the Land of Doors and Shadow for her, which I totally love since that immediately puts a really interesting picture in my mind of what it would look like. 8D
Jockey's seer ability lets her know the end result of dying on a quest bed for whatever reason. IT'LL BE OKAY GUYS, THIS DEATH DOESN'T STICK THIS TIME

Anyway I was playing off how my Sim Smoker is scared of crowds and starts freaking out. I dunno if she actually has panic attacks when there are too many people around, it was just an amusing thought.
