It didn't hurt that there was some vague sense that Bradley wasn't necessarily all that experienced with being a "dom" personality, but for Colin he would do what he needed to do to have him. It was shockingly sweet!

Yes. Yes to this. I think this story is, in a way, a belated result of planning an epic D/s thing a while back and thus discussing it with quite a few people who actually know what they're talking about. They really drove home the point that in a functioning D/s relationship, the sub should be able to trust the Dom to figure out their unspoken needs. It's not just taking, on the part of the Dom; not at all. So, yes. Non-con is a big no for me.

You picked up on that! This makes me very happy. Yes, in my head, Bradley had had maybe a bit of experience, but more playing, you know, nothing really serious. Part of why Bradley needs Colin to ask is because he's uncertain himself.
