White collars go well with trolls.

Dear f-list, you are obviously wise beyond words. Therefore, it comes as no surprise to me that you were right about the splendid thing that is White Collar. I did, however, not expect it to be quite this splendid. Especially - oh! Especially the chemistry between Neil and Peter (shoe sizes birthday cards!) as well as the loveliness that is Peter’s ( Read more... )

Hee! White Collar IS AWESOME, YES? *BEAMS* AND YES, I CAN'T WAIT FOR A WC THREESOME FIC! Neal's and Peter's chemistry is so great, and with Elizabeth too!

Oooo... Send me what you have of stripper!Merlin! I'll combine that with my earlier edits (that I haven't send across, bad girl!). :DDDDDDDDDD

It's AWESOME. SO AWESOME. I meant to also say that it's ot3 fic, and it's being rec'ced by everyone, actually (everyone being more than just me, lalalalala)

(er, i got distracted by finishing up hw. I have to be up in 4 hours for class. what is this?)

Neal/Elizabeth/Peter is SO my OT3 of happiness making. *g*

I'm dreadfully behind on Merlin, though. Like, three episodes behind. Um, yeah. I should get on that.

You were right about it being totally awesome, I agree! Not sure I will actually end up reading fic, but hey, I am only in the middle of the second episode!

Three episodes? Oh, then you're missing some good stuff. Have you met Lancelot again? But really, the second half of the troll beats it all. Uh. Anyway. Need a place to download the eps?

Oh, I'm totally not into the fic part of White Collar. I just like the show & the interactions. Wait until you see the 2nd episode, especially the party planning scene. *hearts*

I have not seen Lancelot again, nor the trolls. Sadness. I have them all downloaded (thanks for the offer, though ♥), but it's more trying to find the TIME. I'm also behind on Sons of Anarchy & Supernatural. I weep at the state of my DVR, to be honest.

Ah, you aren't? Because someone linked a fic that's supposedly quite good, but right now, I have to say that I'm more amusing myself with the idea of telling myself the multiple ways in which they'd be angsting over a potential threesome. Also, they're just all so precious! Especially Neal, hee.

Oh, no repeat Lancelot? The world is a sad place! But yeah, I know what you mean. If I hadn't recently figured out how to get my Blackberry to play pretty much any video file so I can watch it on the train... I'd be at a loss.

Why is it always busier in the fall?

Once he had, he even told Uther no, and as far as I remember, it was the first time

He said he wouldn't give the order to redistribute the grain to the army in Labyrinth of Gedref, which was a very similar scene to this one imo. So maybe character consistency starts here? *hopeful*

Was it an outright "I will not"? Because I don't remember him as refusing quite this openly, this... finally. Is my memory failing me here?

It was something like "No, you'll have to give that order yourself", and then I think he walks off. Maybe not quite as forthright and final, but similar I think.

Also, I agree with your hug hypothesis. I can't see Uther ever being tactile with him, and maybe his nursemaids were too deferential. I really want to read the fic where Arthur suddenly starts seeing people hugging everywhere he goes, and obsessing about it :)

I WOULD BE OVER THAT STORY LIKE SO!!! Because, yes. I mean, Arthur sees all those people hugging - friends, Gwen and Morgana, and it looks... nice? But it's not as if Arthur's been missing anything so far, so what's the big deal? Aren't words enough to show he cares, he's grateful? What's the difference?

I want Merlin to catch Arthur staring at himself in the mirror one day, sort of hugging himself with a nonplussed expression. "Are you cold?" Merlin asks, and Arthur sort of... startles and quickly drops his arms back to his side.

"As a matter of fact, I am," he says, but he doesn't quite meet Merlin's eyes. "Which isn't surprising, considering someone forgot to light the fire. Again."

Merlin really is the worst manservant ever.
I mean, for a moment there, it looked like he was actually cleaning Arthur’s room, after not having been able to do it due to having to go into hiding. Then it turns out he’s merely dumping everything in a corner, behind some wooden chest or something. What’s more, he’s doing it while Arthur is right there.

YES. He's worse than a teenager. I stopped for a second there to ask why he didn't even try to shove it inside that chest (best solution for cleaning ever; I went out and bought op-shop suitcases and boxes just to do that).

Re: Morgana and Gwen - they're not getting a lot of screen-time/insightful-character-development love this season. :(

Yes and no. His cleaning technique is that of a teenager, but what amused me most is that he didn't do it in secret. He did it while Arthur was right there! It defeats the entire purpose - and also, it show a complete lack of respect for following Arthur's orders properly, and what's more, he's utterly certain Arthur won't actually punish him for it. Those two! &hearts

Well, we did get some insightful Morgana in the ep with the druids, and some good Gwen in the ep where Arthur was staying at her house. The last three episodes completely put their character development on hold, though...

Hn, I don't know. My teenage experience is that I could dump things in a handy corner and cover it with a blanket and have my parents aware but disapproving. Tthere is not really a point to my argument here. Just saying? I will happily concede the flaily love for the boys, though. :D

I didn't feel that the Morgana and Gwen we got were particularly insightful (okay, in hindsight, druid episode did), more 'this is what one would expect them to say/how one would expect them to react'. This, however, may be the fault of fanon characterisation on my part...

Faily love for the boys must always be conceded. *g* But yes, I see what you mean - only, can you imagine Arthur tolerating this sort of behaviour from any other servant? Or any of his knights slacking off like that? And while I admit that Arthur is sort of distracted by the whole "You want me to die?!" thing, he doesn't even react. This is what he expects from Merlin.

I think the Morgana we got was quite all right (although, yes, it did bother me that she was all happy for Uther being in love and whatnot; it didn't fit). Gwen... Sort of? The episode with Lancelot was slightly too... rushed in big emotions on Gwen's and Lancelot's parts, in my opinion. And you mean to say that it feels as if the producers are merely going throguh the motions with the girls, right now?

This, however, may be the fault of fanon characterisation on my part...
Care to elaborate? I'd be really interested! (Also, it would give me an excuse not to work on stripper!Merlin, because that story is mocking me.)
