I always enjoy case based episodes and I like the old school creepy ones...[Spoiler (click to open)]and what is creepier than ghost possessed people in scary masks? The bunny was terrifying, as was the clown. I'm not a huge fan of Sheriff Donna, but she's starting to grow on me. She's hiding a lot underneath that chipper, darn tootin' mask.Anyway, suffice to say I enjoyed ( Read more... )

Oh, how do you always do that, make me feel so sad for our boys because you've written them exactly right?

I really enjoyed this, so full of thinky thoughts on gender issues. Very well done.

The end with Lucifer's words sent a chill down my spine. I sure can see trouble ahead...

Thank you for sharing :)

Thank you! There had been some excellent and interesting discussions over on frozen_delight's journal about gender issues in relation to this episode and yesterday was White Ribbon Day, so the whole subject was very much on my mind!
The potential in a storyline around the cage has me very intrigued. I do hope we get some closure on poor Adam!

Oh. That was sad. I want to say there was Lisa. But, yeah, I might as well not bother. I'm back to sad.

Well done.

Thank you. And yes, there was Lisa. And Cassie. But, for the most part I do think he just plays the part and then moves on. Even with Lisa, much as he clearly liked and respected her, I do wonder if he was maybe just playing the part of 'normal guy', because Sam had wanted him to.

Aw. That is sad. And very much the way I see Dean's encounters with women, too.

Back in one of the earliest episodes of the serial, my Dean slept with a waitress not because he wanted sex, but just because he needed a hug. Your Sam's speculation about whether Dean might have charged sometimes reminded me of that, because of this line from my episode:

He wrapped his fingers around hers and drew her arm a little tighter around him. So this was what he was reduced to: exchanging cheap sex for hugs from strangers. It occurred to him to wonder if he was really any different from the hooker Sam had fucked. http://fanspired.livejournal.com/9596.html

Both our visions share that similar kind of sadness and loneliness, I think.

Very much so. I was even playing around with a similar line about Dean sometimes just wanting to be touched in a kind way, but I couldn't get it to fit right! :)
