I entirely understand the comfort of stabilized territory. I'll miss you, (I'd been looking forward to seeing you sometime in the next week), but you won't be gone very long.

See you when you return, and I'll need to bring some sort of house-warming food-gift to your new place.

Maybe the time in Israel will actually help! A palate cleanser. You're returning from a journey and making a new home! Weird but journeyful. Or something.

Have a safe trip!

Where in Israel? Will you have time to enjoy yourself at all, or is wit work work work?

(Still better than my business trip to Israel. First week of Oct 2000. For some reason, I couldn't leave on Sunday night, so I left Monday morning, the day after Rosh Hashanah, and arrived Tuesday. When I went straight to the office, I was greeted with "what are you doing here? We didn't expect you until tomorrow." Worked Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, finished early, and got bored, but had to stay around the office Wednesday in case the integration broke. I spent Thursday at Masada and caught a flight home Thursday night, leaving a grand total of 60 hours on the ground. I could have stayed longer, but Saturday was going to be fairly useless, I had weekend plans back in Boston, and Monday was going to be Yom Kippur anyways.)
