It does read very poem like. As to the issue, it's such a quandary right? You have your expensive coffee, and you really have to go... Do you sit it on the sink?? Do you take it in the stall?? Throw it away? What do you do? Any choice is kinda gross.... Well, that's what friends are for, right? To hold your drink while you do your thing.

In a public restroom, I would agree.

However, this took place in the office, on our floor's restrooms. It's a security building, so the only people with access are our fellow co-werkers (it's not a huge floor and everyone basically knows everyone else). There's an ottoman/bench near the entrance to the restroom where people normally set their personal items (be it drinks, bags, papers, etc.), as well as a ledge above the sinks. There's also a drinking fountain in the alcove outside the bathrooms (which are set back from the main corridor anyway) that some people set their water bottles/drinks on.

So, with so many other choices, it was a little bit odd to me that she would bring it right in. Strange!
