*laughs* Actually, yes. And you're in luck, I was just getting bored and wondering what to work on tonight. I think I've got the lion's share of the fic written out, I just have to find it and commune with the word processor a while.

Seeing as you were the one who got me to look twice at Toshiro and Hyourinmaru in the first place, I'll read anything you post about them. ^^ Your Hyourinmaru is much more bristly than filler!Hyourinmaru, but may be more in line with canon!Toshiro, if that makes any sense (fillers being what they are); he's a great balance for the youthful temper that Toshiro tries to deny having. And this excerpt sounds like it might be related to Toshiro's thoughts in Running Away, which would be awesome.

Good, because--I kid you not--this fic would not be happening at all if it weren't for you. I've been so blocked on it for so long that if I didn't know that at least one person was interested, I'd have probably given up long ago. Now, though. Progress. Finally.

I actually haven't seen the zanpakutou filler arc, specifically because I've heard that they're different from the characterizations in my head. One pack of dysfunctional freaks at a time, please and thank you, and this bunch was here first. Slap an AU sticker on it and call it a day. I know how that sounds, but... *shrugs* My Hyourinmaru is one of my favorites. I've gotten attached.

Oh, and this is related to Running Away. The Toushirou and Hyourinmaru set skips from part 2 to part 4; this is part 3. This is the conversation they desperately needed to have in both of the previous parts and yet somehow managed to miss.

Dawww! :3 Ow, I know how that kind of blockage feels. Progress = yays.

*nods* I tend to consider filler!canon just as AU as fic, especially since filler!Zabimaru was wildly different from manga!Zabi. (Absurdly, adorkably, hilariously different, but still.~) Understandable, though, since having both sets in your head might prove, um, chaotic! *laughs* And yours definitely deserve to stick around.~
