Not in the unsound sense. Well he was momentarily this afternoon on account of somebody WAILING on him in the paddock. He's got a moster bruise/owie spot on his right flank. It scared the SHIT out of me..he's never been lame for as long as I've known him.  A collective groan and WHYYYYYY meeeeee were heard.

Aw, sorry to hear Captain is ouchy! Sometimes I wonder about that. We can't see things like bruises and pulled muscles.. and unless there is heat, we have no way to tell!

I'm just glad he worked out of it. Sometimes I think he'd be better off if he wasn't such a sissy but I think that's part of what makes him so lovable :-)

I wish we could see bruises..then again, maybe not with Captain, tehehee.

:( Sad day. Best of luck this weekend. My trainer will be there with a couple of consignment horses and a couple clients too. Sad I won't be there :(

thanks =)

He didn't work it out quite as well today but I suspect it's one of those things where it's more sore the second day. So we(I) did lots of two point. He wasn't quite as ornery about canter departs today, so that was nice. Canter was the best thing I could think of to help stetch out the ouchie muscles. It'd help too if he'd actually eat the bute!
