I have only done a few things at home for the most part. I have a lot of trouble actually STARTING to work, but once I do it I am on a roll and may or may not forget to eat. If it is something that I like doing (like website work) it is really easy for me to get into it. Once I start to get bored though, I slack off a lot (mainly because at work, generally the most exciting thing to do is surf the internet, but I have video games and books and lots of stuff at home)

Thankgoodness no, between T$ telling me I shouldn't do WoW and watching what it did to ayashi, I'm never touching the thing! At least not until next summer. I do have a Robert Jordan book I'm working my way through though...

Like I said, if it ever happens it will be in the summer. It's bad enough that I haven't finished this summer's books yet, that'll distract me until I do finish it. Speaking of which, I did most of today's work list, so I'm going to go work on that book now. :-P

It completely depends on what I'm doing and what mood I'm in! I can either be super productive, couldn't do it anywhere else (grading student papers is a big one here, particularly one type of assignment) or I'm slack as all hell and do absolutely nothing cos I could be cleaning, cooking, eating, etc. - this is usually reserved for 'research' or 'writing' days..

My dad works from home full time.
He says that he may be less productive, but he is more efficent.
He can wake up and work on his computer in his PJs. Work his conference calls around his WoW time, etc. He works sporadically through out the day but he gets stuff done when it is convient for him - he's not a morning person so his projects often get done late into the night. But things get done and done well. Plus it is less stressful and you can eat at home more often (healthier!)

I have never work worked from home, but I attempt schoolwork at home. I am much less efficient (though I do like having a comfy chair for reading in), partly because I don't have a good workspace set up at home, due to lack of space, and partly because I get distracted by my birds. Or going to check to see if the mail is there. Or grocery shopping. Or or or. About the only work I can do well at home are my assignments in Structures. And some computer work after the birds are in bed (they want to sit -in- my hand otherwise).

And although I am definitely an introvert, I find it more pleasant to be working around other people, which I can get at school, but not at home. I just don't want to talk with them much.

*nods* as a teacher, the boundary between working from home and doing what I normally do is a fine one. I'm calling "working from home" any day that I'm at home during the school year, not a day off or weekend, and working during the day. Once around 5pm hits, I'd be home working anyway so that's no change there.
