I thought about many things regarding his achievement: boredom with the repetitious laps, burning muscles, numb lower body... what amazing focus required and physical mastery! The event was less than a mile from my house so I visited three different times.

lol. It was great to get right up to it, touch the deck, see the repairs they made during the event and understand how large a man Brandon is and how small that kayak is. It definately has that homemade feel and gives the essance of what many other first technologies may have looked like. The Wright brothers plane comes to mind...
