Movie Review - Doom

Doom: I was expecting at least one of the following: Well-spirited jabs at the video game (powerups lying around, arbitrary rooms filled with demons, circle-strafing with fancy footwork) and all-out fantasy (which is what Doom really is, despite its future Mars setting) with demons, magic portals, Hell and all that. The on-screen reality was an ( Read more... )

Hooray for Doom Remix! I'd honestly love an update of the original game with this soundtrack.

Just the other day I went to Id's website to see if I could buy the original Doom. I can, but it's 30 bucks for a big Doom, Doom II, etc. etc. bundle. Sheesh!!

The source was released for free, even. I don't think anything else was, though, so no graphics, etc.

I know the first part of Doom has always been shareware, but I don't want to play up to that big gate to Hell and be asked for money.

"Teh Human Genome(!)" is Hollywood's new "Virtual Realitay(!)," which in turn took the place of "Atomic Enargy(!)" as the all-purpose idiotic non-explanation for things that didn't need explaining in the first place.

"There is 10% of the Human Genome we haven't yet mapped". Someone should tell these folks.

Doom I, Doom II and Doom II master levels come with Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil on the xbox. Plus the game rocks on live.

In my opinion Doom I is the best in the series. Doom II is just the same stuff and Doom 3 is almost as good.

Are you gonna be jumping into the Quake 4 boat? I'm trying to resist but an Xbox360 looks damn cool right about now!

The XBox 360 has me completely unimpressed with its launch titles. Couple that with a lack of spending cash and I have to say, I'll be avoiding the Quake 4 boat for the stability of H.M.S. Nintendo Dual Screen. Unsinkable!

So far Xbox360 looks SWEET for FPS games. I'm stoked. But I probably won't able to afford it for a long while. I've been into my nintendo DS recently. Just playing Fanal Fantasy I and II a lot, but 4, 5, and 6 are coming. FF3 is going to be remade especially for the DS with 3d graphics! (All the others are on GBA.)
