What are the options you're considering in automotive?

Lots of people have told me that I picked the perfect time to go back to school, with the economy being what it is. Now's the time! :)

R&D. Materials science. There are a lot of the car manf out here(Toyota, GM, I think dodge is in yuma,az) but plenty of jobs. There are 5 test facilities and then another 2 labs/offices here locally.

If not that I would be looking at an MBA and maybe staying in the automotive industry if I can find a job.

I kinda miss school - and now I know if I go back, I'm doing it for my own education for a degree I really want.

It sounds like you would be going back for reasons similar to mine, and I'm super-stoked to be doing it - go for it!

Back to my Materials Engineering homework...

Mine was on it's way out too when I sold it. About 80k. I looked into replacing it but the motor was $400- that was if I did it myself. Silly cars.

Yeah. Mine has 70K on it. I want my handling back!

What was killing the handling on my si were the struts - they were long gone at 80k. When I changed out the control arms I should have just done the struts too but then I would have wanted to go aftermarket and coils...it adds up.

It was fun though when I got it at 30k, it was still fresh and youthful... those were some good times ;) I would have kept it if it hadn't just started falling apart.
