Update on the Neighbor Lady

My neighbor lady showed up again this morning.  She’s safe.  Thank the gods.  She was where I’d figured she was ... in jail.  I guess she’s on work release now, so she still won’t be around for a while.  She just stopped by the apartment to check on things.

While she was gone the guy who beat her up came by and broke into her apartment.  He

Why was she in jail?

Drug possession and parole violation. She was recently in rehab, but she kept all of her old friends. Not a good idea when you're trying to get off drugs. :(

If she didn't have any bad luck she would not have any luck at all.

Sounds like she is creating her bad luck though.

That's sad. I don't know how people can live like that.

Hopefully it won't boil over to your house and they will move to another neighborhood.

Yes, she's making some really bad decisions. Its too bad because she's a decent person underneath all the drug/man problems. She's got a young son she doesn't have custody of. He's the smartest seven year old I've ever met. I hope she pulls it together for his sake.
