The road now leads onward

A lot has gone on since my last entry, and yet, somehow, it doesn't feel like a lot. It's kind of strange! Anyway, let's see.

☆ Moving is now completed! Again, my new address is here. We headed down to Saskatoon on Thursday night, got there Friday morning, packed up all my stuff, then started to head back on Friday night! It's a 12-hour drive each ( Read more... )

I WISH YOU COULD TRY MY PIES, THEY'RE REALLY AWESOME. <3 <3

Well, yes and no, for the job stuff. True for the most part, but Canada isn't doing as badly as some other places, and in this province (and this city especially) there are many, many job openings.

I've been applying for mostly office jobs and stuff, receptionist things etc, because they tend to pay well and give good hours. But it's so frustrating, because I know for sure that if I went back to the grocery store where I used to work, looking for a job, they would hire me right away without even looking at my application. orz But the pay wasn't so great so... that's last resort.

I just hope that I'll find something soon, so I can get out of the house. xD

Glad to hear the worst of the moving hullabaloo is over with. Unpacking things can take a while. I just finished unpacking my last box this afternoon even though I moved in two weeks ago, but that could just be me being lazy and slow.

Oh! Oh! Please share the pastry recipe! There's a bag of apples in the fridge that need to be used and I've been debating if I should turn them into a crumble all day, but now I'm thinking pie. The apple filling I have no real questions about because it's really to taste most of the time regarding the amount of sugar and spice. But pie crust I've had no luck with in the past to the point where I get store bought more often than not, so I'm rather interested in the recipe. ♥

And I'm sure you'll get a job sooner or later, but that First Aid thing sounds like a real smart idea to widen your options.

OKAY. I will see about typing it up. This pastry is so so good, ahhh <3

Put in some resumes today and I have a really good feeling about it, so maybe something will happen this week... ! \o/
