Today was better than yesterday, for a variety of reasons. I think the main one, though, would be because I spent time talking with a certain friend of mine. It just made me feel better somehow. Aaa. I couldn't ask for a more steadfast companion

Actually imho if you're interested you don't really need to start from the first volume. It's mostly just short stories, so there's not much continuous plot going on. (at the beginning, at least) The only thing you'd miss are a couple of character introductions, but stuff like that is pretty easy to catch on.
