first (and written while reading): Jayne's comment about having his virtue questioned literally made me laugh out loud. it's so, so easy to picture him saying that. major points there, as I'd imagine it's easy to get Jayne wrong. seriously. Jayne's dialogue was just so damn well done through this entire thing. granted, so was everyone's - even little touches like Kaylee saying "she weren't" instead of "she wasn't", really goes to show how well you know the series ( ... )

Thank you so much. This is really the first time I've tried to write Firefly beyond a couple of Inara/Kaylee drabbles and I tried really hard to get their dialog right as its so important to the characters. Jayne's a favorite of mine and I really see him as having a certain dignity, in his own way. I'm really happy you liked the story. Thanks so much for commenting and recommending it.
