[FIC] The color purple

Jul 28, 2014 00:14

Tears were beginning to well in his eyes as he received the first kick in his stomach. A metallic taste of blood lingered in his mouth; it was such a familiar taste. He felt a slap across his face and his dry, crusted lips. He dared not look up as he knew that only black, soulless eyes would meet his innocent ones.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered. He was afraid he would get punished again for speaking without permission.

Yunho became silent; he didn’t know what to say. The crying had stopped and he knew he had gone too far this time. Just like last time, and the time before that. He sat down next to the shaking man on the floor and said, “sit up. Let me look at you.”

He inspected the younger man’s face before tracing the purple lines on his neck with the tips of his fingers.

“Why do you always make me do this to you?” Yunho asked with a level of insincerity in his voice. “Why, Jaejoong?” His name was voiced in a steadily rising pace, urging him to reply.

“I don’t know.”

The older man sighed and handed his husband a wet cloth from the kitchen sink.  “Clean yourself up, but mark my words, Jaejoong, if you ever go outside without my permission again, you will regret it. What the hell were you thinking?! Someone could have seen you, and ugh. You know that if anyone sees your bruises… they’ll take you away from me. Is that what you want?”

Jaejoong shook his head, holding the cold piece of fabric against his bruised and broken face. “No.”

“You love me, yes?”

“I do.”

“Then stop fucking disobeying me,” Yunho said before he grabbed his suitcase and trudged into the living room.

“No matter how many times you break my heart, Jung Yunho… I will always love you,” Jaejoong whispered as he scrubbed the bloodstains off of
the floor.
