Indecisiveness and Dance Concert

Apr 08, 2004 23:52

Dance Concert was tonight, which is why I started all my homework at around 10:30. The show itself was good and very entertaining. Everyone worked really hard on their parts, and it showed. I have to give credit to Talona for being in so many acts and to Marghee for choreographing so many great acts ( Read more... )

Heart. The difference between between Irvine and San Diego isn't that large, unless San Diego has a major you want that Irvine does not. I wouldn't know about ther environments of either schools since I haven't been to any of the two but I've heard nice things about both.

This is going to suond very geeky, but this reminds me of that poem that we read in English about the heart and the mind. Intersting, indeed. This is going to sound very cliche` but follow your heart, because most of the time it's right. When you follow your heart, you can't go wrong....man, how Disney like does that sound!? LoL! I've been to both campuses and to me there really is not big difference because they're both big universities, but of course San Diego is 6 times as big since it was 6 colleges. Other than the size I don't see any real difference. Yes, SD is higher in the UC ranking, but Irvine is a UC nonetheless. At least at Irvine, you'll be close to those that are close to you while still being far enough to experience independence. Also, being close to family and friends is comforting and like a safety blanket that you take out everynow and then when you need a little help to get you through the night and keep away the boogie monsters of life. Good luck in making your decision and just do whatever feels right.

I am going through the exact same type of decision and process you are going through.

I want to go to a school for which I feel CAMS has pushed me to prepare.
Your education is only as good and valuable as you make it. You will not succeed if you don't allow yourself to create your own goals and wholeheartedly go for them. Otherwise, you are sabotaging yourself.

I want to go to a school that has that friendly, homey environment I love.
You create this. Although a smaller school helps it does not guarantee it.

I want to be able to go out and see my best friends every weekend or more frequently if need be.
I think this one will fade away as time progresses.

God, I feel so selfish.Matters of the self are often so... as they should be ( ... )

Hey babe. It's Achala (no really). As far as the choice goes, if I were you I'd go to Irvine. The thing is, prestige is an abstract concept- family and friends- those are concrete. The strength that UCSD has (I'm not denying it- I love the school) will make no difference in the long run. Instead, the person you are as you leave college will matter. I know you well enough to say that by saying that you treasure your family and friends is an understatement, and with either choice I'm sure everyone will still love you. The thing is, will you love yourself after you made that choice? Knowing what I know about you, after choosing UCSD, you'll feel guilt that may eventually seep into your experience of the campus ( ... )
