An actual update...What?

Jan 10, 2010 00:37

For an update as to how I'm doing so far on my 101 in 1001, click here.

And simply because updating with everything that has been happening over the past week would make this post far too long... Some excerpts from my handwritten journal, including the positive things from the days, will be posted instead.

My life is boring, but always spruced with random, strange occurrences. )

life: friends, life: crazy/funny story, life: school, 101: goals, life: 101/1001, life: daily

I like the positive points from each day. That's a really nice idea. You sure know how to keep busy! ^_^

Thanks. It really helps get through some of the bad days to find something positive that happened.

lol, I have to keep busy or else.. Well, I'd never do a single thing. Or I'd lose my mind.

Looks like things are going well!

That's a funny coincidence. I received college stuff all throughout freshman year, but thankfully it seems to have stopped now.

Thank you!

And it really is. Just the timing of it, really couldn't have been better. I've been receiving applications for nearly a year now, since my last semester in college. Though it's flattering, it's getting rather tedious now. Especially since they always follow up the snailmail with a few emails.

I love your new layout!! It's so cute. :D

Bonne chance w/ uni, and with language. I've always struggled with language, especially taking a break and having to remember what you learned like 3 months ago. But it is really cool you know Japanese and French. :) Is Japanese hard to learn?

Thank you! I'm still tweaking it and everything, but I think I'll be sticking with it. It's so customizable.

I've had a lot of problems with languages, speaking them really. I have a French accent that carries over into every language I happen to speak. But learning them? It's always come a bit easy because I approach them from a linguistics point of view.

Japanese... It's not as hard as most people will say (though English is the hardest language to learn). It's easy to learn two of the alphabets and remember them, but kanji... Kanji is so expansive that it's so difficult to learn every character.

I haven't had any DC area universities contact me yet. The closest I've gotten to DC area is New York City area and New Jersey area.
