An actual update...What?

For an update as to how I'm doing so far on my 101 in 1001, click here.

And simply because updating with everything that has been happening over the past week would make this post far too long... Some excerpts from my handwritten journal, including the positive things from the days, will be posted instead.

--- 1 January 2010; Positive point: The Ducks lost the Rose Bowl. If this isn't a sign that 2010 will be an awesome year, I don't know what is.

--- 2 January 2010; Positive point: I finally feel completely better from whatever it was I had.
-Do you ever have those days where you feel guilty yet you have done nothing to feel guilty over? Perhaps I'm just odd... Or maybe my conscience is getting a head-start for the next thing I manage to screw up.

--- 3 January 2010; Positive point: I was given a gift by my mom that had been given to them only days earlier of a nice little box and a set of scented candles. I love how they smell a little too much.

--- 4 January 2010; Positive point: My dogs received new toys today. They are happily content, and by that I mean, not bugging me constantly.

--- 5 January 2010; Positive point: Apparently I am very popular in my RL circle of friends, they won't stop calling and often do so about five times a day.
-I need to get a planner and fast. I feel so scattered and lost it's not funny. Well, perhaps just a little.

--- 6 January 2010; Positive point: I was finally allowed to eat lunch in peace without the phone interrupting as it has been since the first.
-Unless you have managed to attract the world's stupidest criminal, they are not going to attempt a car break-in by smashing in the windshield. It's reinforced to not shatter, which is what they need it to do.
-Now don't get me wrong, I love Megan dearly, but there are sometimes I can't believe a person is that oblivious and so lacking in street-smarts. I knew from day one that Emmett was a dirty old man, it's not news to anyone. Secondly, she opened herself for that comment by talking about sex with him -- he is honestly a live version of Master Roshi, if he sees an opening, he's not going to let it slip by. It's what dirty old men do.

--- 7 January 2010; Positive point: I saw Megan today and it was nice to spend time with her and help her pack for hopefully the last time for a long time.
-I never want to help someone else move again. The next time I am involved in the moving process, it better damn well be for myself.

--- 8 January 2010; Positive point: I finally bought a new planner to replace the old one that ran out 31 December 2009. My world makes sense (and is organized to its teeth in a very pretty, and girly, manner) once again.

--- 9 January 2010; Positive point: As I was going through my old cards from friends and family, I found some money I had stored away in one of them and forgot about. Random money is always a good find.
-Today, we discovered that one of the sweet, kind old women on my mom's side of the family passed away today. Why do all the nice ones have to die? I will miss her very much... Though it just reminds me of how little I get to see anyone on that side all because of my mom's sister.

And with the new planner, I am finally able to get back to actual work on editing old fics and writing new ones. Is it sad that I have to be that organized? No. Perhaps OK, yes it's really sad.

Also as I am attempting to relearn all the French I've forgotten, my mind has decided it wants to focus on Japanese instead. Though I'm sure my mind is amused as it translates French into Japanese and forces me into writing down Japanese instead, I'm not really amused... I'm planning to go to PSU and get things done within two weeks. You need to focus mind.

Typing of universities... This is an odd coincidence. Even though I've decided on my university to continue at, I still receive offers from other universities. Just last month, I wrote gift-fic that takes place in New Orleans. Yesterday, I received a personal application and offer to go to Tulane University in New Orleans. Hah, so odd.

Oh, and hello there new friends! How do I keep accumulating more of you?

If there's any typos... I wouldn't be surprised. I apologize for them, they will be eaten later today at a more decent time.
