That is one very awesome form!

I have a small confuddle (good for me since my confuddles are usually large ones)

I want to enter the new BBC series of Robin Hood since it's new and shiny, but was a little unsure how to demarcate it amongst all the other Robin Hood variations.

I settled on Robin Hood BBC (tv) - I just hope that doesn't throw anyone trying to compile the masterlist.

That should be fine! I quite honestly don't know what the unqualified "Robin Hood" is for -- it may just be the legend in general.

Thank you!

I think you're right with "the legend" guess.

I'm starting to wonder now if you can have too much Robin Hood. Perhaps I should have stuck with Michael Praed :p

heeeeee! So, you're liking the new show? The only things I'd heard so far weren't particularly positive, so I'm curious.

Are the six nominations that we submit while we're brainstorming here the only ones we're going to be able to pick from when we request a story?

Wait. Didn't you ask this elsewhere? *g* No, and I think that it said that in the original information post. This is solely to compile the list of fandoms; you're not actually signed up for anything yet.

I did ask you it in your other post, but that was only because you said "I set the Brainstorming post to not send me emails every time someone commented." but I think you were talking about a different post. Gah.. sorry for confusing you.. and me.. and pretty much anyone else who's gonna read these comments. ;)

HEE. Not a problem, as long as we have it straightened out now. I just thought, "Oh, two people were confused," then I looked at the name and blinked... *g*

*thinking out loud*

I am wondering if is better to have RPF-Specific Reality Show or RPF-Reality TV?

I suppose I could always wait for my request and say I wouldn't mind if Tim Gunn of Project Runway showed up in an Iron Chef fic or what have you.

Or is that not cool?

I suppose it would depend on which you think might be more likely to get you matched? I'd tend to go with show-specific myself, I think. The main reason I was going to do away with the bulk actors&musicians category was because those were more easily broken down into specific show-related and group-related RPF, I think.

As for saying what you think would be cool, anything goes in the details of a request, as long as you're cool with knowing that those aren't binding on your author!

*nods*
Thanks!

I kind of compromised and went for the Network (Food) which is broader than a show, but much more specific than a genre.

So, we'll see if that flies! I do have 5 other fandoms after all. :)

When I was checking over the character submission page, I noticed that the characters had gotten mixed up between book and mini (and the other mini). Let me explain: I submitted for Dune (book) and Children of Dune (mini), and noticed that there are characters listed for the mini that were not actually in the mini. I know it's petty but it does matter, if what people are doing is listing characters from the Dune (mini) in the Children of Dune one, because people who have seen the latter might not necessarily have seen the former, and that could potentially be problematic at matching time.

If you can send me a specific list of which characters should not be in which category, I can clean them up!

I don't know if you've got email notifications on for this post, so I'm going to post these here, but if you don't reply I'll search around for an email address, working on the assumption you've got them off.

[Children of Dune (mini-series)]
Alia
Duncan Idaho
Faradn Corrino
Feyd
Ghanima Atreides
Irulan Corrino-Atreides
Leto Atreides

The only name that needs to be removed from that list is "Feyd."

I know it's only one, but it'd (potentially) be really bad if it was left in there, so thanks!

this might be really, really stupid -- does http://yuletidetreasure.org/master.shtml show only the fandoms/characters that have been submitted for THIS year's yuletide? if i can avoid double-nominating, i'd like to.

thanks.

No, it shows the complete listing of fandoms that are available to choose from without having to enter a new fandom. As said in the original post regarding nominations, you won't be able to see just the fandoms for this year, because that list is continually changing as people change their minds. This is why I stressed that if there are fandoms you want to make sure you can request, they should be on your list.
