Yuletide 2012 is now accepting nominations!
Here is the handy Nominations Tutorial by the ever awesome aka_Arduinna. Please read the full post before running off to nominate!

Nominations will run roughly through 9:00 pm Eastern US Time on Wednesday, October 3rd (what time is that for me?).
Note: Do not use these characters when nominating fandoms: , ^ * < > [ ] { } = ` \ % These can cause issues for the process, so work around them as best you can.
Although it can take a while, please use the autofill whenever possible to pull up a suitable synonym for the fandom or character you want. It pulls canonical (ie, wrangled) tags from the full AO3 tag set, and those make the lives of the Yuletide tag set maintainers and the AO3 tag wranglers much simpler. If you're not sure what the official form of your fandom should be, you can check formats of existing AO3 tags, but do your best and it will get sorted out behind the scenes. If your fandom is ambiguous and could be confused with another fandom, please try to make it as clear as possible.
You can continue to edit/change your individual nominations until the fandoms/characters have been reviewed and either accepted or rejected. Rejection does not necessarily mean your fandom is ineligible, it may mean something like:
Because of the way the process works, some fandoms and characters may be rejected because another version has already been reviewed.
Please wait until the review period, after nominations close, to contact us about possible rejections. We're dealing with thousands of fandoms, and several times that of characters, so I'm afraid I don't have time to address every individual question of this sort right now.

- It was already being approved in another form
- A character appears to be in the wrong fandom
- It's been merged into another variant, or split up into individual fandoms because it's a meta-tag

- Nominations are reviewed in random order (because we have a lot of people working on them, each of them get a different random selection to review), so don't be alarmed if you nominated early and some of your noms haven't been reviewed yet.
- For the most part you will see the updated status of your nominations as we make names consistent and approve/reject. BUT, if we make a mistake and accidentally approve or reject a nomination incorrectly, and we have to fix it in the tag set by hand afterwards, you won't see that reflected in your nomination status.
