Fandom Eligibility
In addition to the general guidelines about numbers of stories, the mods/tagmods have come up with some other general guidelines. These are intended both to clarify eligibility for participants and simplify determining eligibility for the tagmods:
A Non-Comprehensive List of Ineligible Fandoms
This list includes fandoms that were ruled ineligible last year, fandoms that have been added since last year, and fandoms that were previously ineligible but not nominated last year. It is not a comprehensive listing of all ineligible fandoms.
If you believe one of the listed fandoms should be eligible, please comment on this post or email the admins with documentation as to why you feel the fandom in question should be eligible.

Fandom Eligibility
In addition to the general guidelines about numbers of stories, the mods/tagmods have come up with some other general guidelines. These are intended both to clarify eligibility for participants and simplify determining eligibility for the tagmods:
- 1) Fandom eligibility will be determined on a case by case basis.
- 2) A fandom that appears small on the surface but that is strongly related to a large fandom may be ruled ineligible. So the manga for Fullmetal Alchemist may appear eligible, but be too strongly connected to the ineligible anime adaptation; The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix may seem eligible, but be too strongly connected to the primary X-Men titles.
- 3) While a spin-off may be eligible, main characters from the original canon probably aren't, even if they appear in the spin-off. So no Doctor in the Sarah Jane Adventures, no Batman in Gotham Central.
- 4) Tie-ins such as comics and books may be eligible, but only if they have standalone continuity/contain none of the primary characters from the source fandoms. So Star Trek: Vanguard would be eligible, but the Star Trek "Rihannsu" novels would not; the New Adventures in Doctor Who that focus on Bernice Summerfield would be eligible, but Big Finish audio plays with any of the Doctors would not.
- 5) For RPF category fandoms like Actor RPF or various music categories, characters may not be eligible if they are in a smaller, ineligible fandom. So no Jensen Ackles in Actor RPF, no Kanjani8 members in Johnny & Associates fandom. ETA: if an actor is ineligible in one RPF category, then they may well be in others, as well.
