That's exactly my point. HP is never going to be considered as "literature" by those scholarly types. And do we care? Only thing that matter is we loved the story.
As for the epilogue, it didn't bother me. While it may be a bit corny, still gives the story a "well-wrapped up" feel. Kinda like going back the feel of Book 1, where the story started out lot more like your good-old children's fantasy tale. And it got much more dark, complicated as story developed, but in the end, going around the whole circle and comes back to good-old "All was well." Year, so, I like it. ;)
Weee, I am so glad you liked it! So many people are hating it and argueing about it together...
And you are soo right about IYAP XD Especially when that part about Harry being sort of a Horcrux, etc was revealed. The slow walk to his death, I have seen this somewhere before ^^ I am extremely looking forward to the movie!
Well, I already finished the book Saturday night, so now that it has set in I am, nevertheless starting to feel a bit sad it is over. It has kept my attention for so many years. Now all we have left are the two movies to come out.
But... we will always have fanfiction! That makes me really happy. As first and foremost it weren't the books that made me obsessive about Harry Potter (I just liked them as much as any book) but it was when I discovered the fanfiction that I really fell in love with the series.
Hehehe... and I am looking forward to any fanart of Deathly Hallows that you might draw up X3

Hmm...that may be why I'm not going around reading other people's reviews. (^_^; I personally was happy with it, and really, I don't care very much what other people think. Just a matter of personal taste, yeah? I'm glad I liked it anyway.

It's "If You Are Prepared" by Cybele, written before book 5 came out. It's a three-part novel.
You can find it at the snarry archive site Walking The Plank.
You can search it by the title or by name. Be sure to read from the Part 1. It's big and long, but well-worth the reading. It is my snarry bible.

But that's okay. We can still do the work around it. ;)
