WELL, THAT'S JUST NOT FAIR! So you're getting a nice compliment.

I find our friendship funny. We started out as such angry enemies adamant on ship superiority, prone to snarling at each other at the least provocation. Now, because of your maturity, I have discovered that you are a rather interesting, thoughtful, and fun person, and you also understand much of how I am because you have had similar experiences. I'm glad we were able to patch things up and become friends. I'm glad you had the courage to be mature when I did not.

Nooooo~

Okay, so now you get a compliment!

I know I can always count on you for a kind word, and that's really wonderful. It's so rare to see a kind word offered freely nowadays, but you always seem to be the first to jump in and give more than one word =3. I really am grateful for your kindness and patience, and I hope I'm able to provide the same for you!

Hi. Sorry that I haven't been more supportive, been dealing with some disappointments in my own life. So, a Katara/Aang ficlet with the prompt anniversary and a compliment would not go amiss.

She tried to be understanding. Really, she did. After all, Aang had a lot on his plate recently, especially with him and Zuko going over the plans for a new kind of city. It took up a lot of his time, and as the Avatar it was to be expected that he would always be busy.

But there were some things that should never be forgotten. And for Katara, an anniversary was definitely one of them.

It had been five years to the day that they had had their first real kiss in the new peacetime, one without confusion and dread and fear. For Katara, it was the first moment that they had finally gotten together, as a couple.

So why was she all alone in Iroh's tea shop, sipping the house blend moodily? Because Aang was in the Fire Nation, as usual, with Zuko, once again going over more plans for their stupid city, instead of with her, talking with her, laughing with her, being with her ( ... )

And, for the compliment!

So, I don't know you as well as I'd like, but what I do know, I do like. You're very determined and you know what you like, and that's good! I love how devoted to Kataang you are, and it's nice to have a fellow canon-fan! I'm very sorry to hear about your life disappointments, and I hope it gets better for you =(. Keep being awesome, okay?

I know I don't always comment, but I do see all the crap that goes on in your life, and you have every right to complain about it.

And for the request, I'll go with Zuko/Suki, tease.

He wasn't crazy - she was doing it on purpose.

They were supposed to be paying attention. After all, it wasn't every day that the Firelord visited Kyoshi Island in order to hear the complaints of the people, in order to see what he could make right. It was supposed to be very serious and very sombre and not what Suki was making it into - there, she did it again! Right when he met her gaze! The tip of her tongue slipped out and slowly licked her lips, her eyebrows raised and her eyes half-closed, her hands on her knees tightening just a little ( ... )

You can complain about your life on your journal, otherwise who else are you going to complain to?

And I am to ask for stuff, because I'm a bitch like that.

The only one of thinking of would be about one of your ex-boyfriends, to see if I deduced correctly, but I won't bring up bad memories of the past.
I think you are an infinitely better writer than I'll ever be, and all those times I'm jealous, I'm mad at myself, not at you. I wish you the best.
The Forest by Edward Rutherford, not fantasy, but probably my favorite of his by far.
Am I supposed to compliment myself or are you?

You can ask; go ahead! I've pretty much made peace with my memories of my past boyfriends.

I'm supposed to compliment you, silly. But thank you for that compliment. It means a bunch to me.

As for you, I think you really could be successful if you just let yourself, you know? You're so worried about what others will think that it stops you and blocks you from writing. You need to just forget about what others may say or think or feel and just write what you want! You have the talent, you just need the drive! Drive it! Additionally, I really do feel like you support my writing, because you always ask me to write stuff, which to me says that you really do enjoy what I scribble, which means a ton.

And your fic is forthcoming.

Aang was trying very hard not to be disappointed, but it was sort of hard. After all, his children were the only future that airbending and the Air Nomads had. The future of an entire people rested on their narrow little shoulders, so he hesitantly admitted that he really had expected more. After all, by the time he was twelve, he was already a master, having mastered all of the forms of airbending in addition to inventing his own.

But...

Only Tenzin was showing signs of actually getting it, and he was the youngest. His other two children were both looking frustrated and mutinous, despite showing signs of being airbenders.

"Dad," Tyana snapped, the oldest who, at eleven, had once fallen off a cliff and merely floated, was now, at fourteen, having trouble with the air scooter. "This is not workingQuan, who had shown early signs of being a waterbender without actually bending it, agreed with his sister, his lip stuck out. In the summer, on a hot day last year, he had once summoned up a small whirlwind that enveloped him and cooled ( ... )
