* Gotta be honest: I went from "Mm," to "o.O;" to "=O" when I first was introduced to him. Then I wanted to punch him. Then I felt bad for him. And then he died, and I was like, "WHAT??!" The problem is, I'm sure he means well - but he just doesn't know how to apply it. He means well when he wants to save the town...but that means drowning it. He means well when he wants to recruit Zuko...but then he gets pissed off when he's rejected. He means well when he wants to get Zuko arrested...but then he just pushes it to the extreme. I don't think he deserved to die, not at all - but fuck, he sometimes got on my nerves

* Toph is amazing. Toph is who I wanted to be growing up, and I still want to grow up to be here. While she sometimes toes the line of overdoing it, she still manages to get away with enough weakness to make it work for her, and still hold the title of supreme awesome. She spits, picks her nose, and yet also knows how to wear a dress like a badass. What other character in recent cartoon history can do this?

* Toph/No one. Alternately, The Duke, Suki and Sokka (together, OT3 bebe), or her and Haru (rarely).

* Fucking everyone. She's so amazing she can do very well with pretty much everyone. I don't think anyone besides Katara has any major issues with her, and yet they still make a great team.

* She isn't teacher material. Nor is she queen of Omashu material. Yeah, I know it's fun to picture her this way, but really, I don't see it. I also see her never marrying or having kids. I'm not sure why.

Shit yes, I missed one.

* I wish we had seen more about her parents by the end of the show. I know they ran out of time and the finale is packed enough, but I would have loved to know how they reacted to her letter - if at all.

* He's kind of fickle, but also a bit of a moron - and yet he's still rather insightful and interesting. He also strikes me as a nudist at times, but I wonder if that's merely to deflect people rather than for the sake of nudity.

* I sort of like to ship him with Minori, just because the happy-meter would go through the roof. They have great chemistry! And yes, while I do get her reasons, I do think that eventually he and Sumire would make a great couple.

* Him and Ryuuji are wonderful friends <3. And him and Ami are just hilarious together. I love his no-nonsense attitude when it comes to her subterfuge.

* Like I said: he's fickle. He was quick to drop his feelings for Taiga once he was rejected. How fickle is that? Did it mean anything at all, or was it really just a bizarre infatuation? How did he suddenly just shift from her to Sumire? What the hell, Yusaku?

* I would have liked to actually see MORE of him and Sumire, instead of just hearing about it and seeing it sometimes.

* He's a wonderful father, despite his absence in the lives of his kids. It's not his fault at all - it's just bad luck. He's also an amazing warrior, pulling the stunts he did, and doing them well. He knows when to fight, and when to quit. That's rare.

* Kya, obviously. Bato, definitely. That's pretty much it.

* Hakoda/Sokka/Katara. They're such a wonderful family.

* I wish people would stop pairing him with Ursa. THERE, I SAID IT. I don't know why, it just really bothers me. I just don't think it would work too well.

* More Suki/Hakoda interaction, pls.

* I love him. I want to smack him. I want to prank him. So many feelings! he's not your standard woobie, but he does have piles of shit thrown at him for many sources and he takes It hard - mostly. other times he just showers and moves on, which is awesome. He has moments of self-confidence, pure badass, and annoying self-pity. He's a hero but not an asshole. He's awesome.

* Jade. I'm dull.

* Because of you, Tekla! Also, Cryos, Zuma, Pyrus...pretty much everyone. He's an awesome friend.

* Uuuh... other than a lack of interest in Tekla, I don't really have one.

* More Mica flashbacks. Or family flashbacks. Or something.

He strikes a wonderful balance by being a very morally-conscious person without it coming across as patronizing. And that's a very tricky type of hero to pull off correctly without pissing off the audience. If anyone other than Paul Dobson was voicing him, there probably would have been a lot of problems in that area.

...wait, that's unpopular? I mean, I've seen YouTube comments here and there but other than than I haven't really seen any major support for Graveheart/Tekla anywhere. Unless I'm missing stuff that went down when the show first aired.
