* He's incredibly complex. There are reasons for his actions, his state of mind, the things he does. He's not just the standard "villain", who is bad because bad is fun - he has history, often laced with bitterness, and it's a history that has affected him so much that every second is spent trying to change his own life

* Ty Lee is also one I would put up there with "is cheerful but not stupid". At times she does appear to be a little slow on the uptake, but it takes great intelligence to know what she knows. She wears pink and is still badass, too. That's awesome.

* Sometimes I ship her with Azula. It really varies. Other times, not really with anyone. Not sure why.

* Mai and Ty Lee. They're such great friends. Also, I think she and Suki would eventually make a great team. Aang and her would have lots to talk about, come to think of it.

* She's not an airbender. Everyone flirts with the idea - I have never. I understand the want for it, but to me it's unfounded. Maybe she has Nomad blood in her somewhere, but I don't think she's an airbender. I also think, ultimately, it was fear that drove her to Azula's side, and mostly fear.

* Her and her sisters. I want to know their history. Where is this history?!

Some of your replies to this are beautiful "Where are the nuns, Aang", "A dick with many layers". I only watched the series within like the past year. Weird not being clued up but seeing the fandom on the internet, everywhere. I like Ty Lee, I think I dig characters who are adorable and also dangerous...? If I'd have watched the show as a teen I bet I would have liked Zuko & his Angst the best, funny how the kind of characters you identify with changes with age...

Interesting, I did not know fans think she is an airbender! Actually I forget she isn't a firebender, duhhhh :/ but that's what's cool about her.

* He's so angsty and stoic, and yet he's got moments of pure badassery and win, with moments of pure dorkiness. His past sucks, and yeah, he dwells way too much on it, but there are moments when he really shines. I love his skill, with magic and swords, and I love his silly blushy moments, too

* She's greedy, annoying, shrill and yet so fucking awesome she will always be my favourite heroine. The one thing about her is that she, unlike so many protagonists, went out and sought her own fate, instead of waiting for it to come to her. Everything she did and does is from her own doing. And if she happens to catch the attention of someone doing what she does best, well, still - all hers.

* Gourry. e.e And rarely Xellos, for the crack.

* Lina and Zelgadis are awesome together. They are both such great foils for their own personalities. She can snap him out of angst, and he can provide reality checks.

* I don't think I have one, oddly.

* I want to see her parents!

Totally. I love that she could easily be a villain, and that Gaav was interested in recruiting her over killing her. That's awesome.

Yeah, but I want to meet her MOTHER most of all.

* So many different things. I wish she wouldn't pretend to be stupid. I'm glad when she stops. I wish she could free herself of the cage she's in. I love how she can be a foul-mouthed bitch when she lets herself. I'm glad she finally could open up. I feel FOR her, too.

* Minori, oddly. While I understand Ami's sun-moon comparisons, I think when it comes to them, it would work out just fine. And sometimes Kitamura.

* Kitamura, obviously. Taiga, eventually - they would always be snarky but also always honest. And Ryuuji, eventually, once she stops hurting over him.

* I think she'd be better off quitting modelling. I don't think it's good for her, and I think she could be so much more.

* I wouldn't mind knowing about her family.
